David Kerr, MBChB, DM, FRCP, FRCPE

David Kerr, MBChB, DM, FRCP, FRCPE is Senior Investigator, Diabetes Research and Digital Health Equity at the Sutter Center for Health Systems Research. He is also Digital Health lead at Diabetes Technology Society and holds an adjunct Chair in the Dept of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Rice University in Houston. He attended medical school at the Aberdeen University in Scotland and completed fellowships at Yale University, and the University of Nottingham in the UK. Prior to moving to the US in 2014, he was Consultant Physician at Bournemouth Diabetes and Endocrine Centre.


Dr. Kerr's current research focuses on the application of technology in diabetes care, with the aim of eliminating the disproportionate burden of diabetes affecting underserved communities in the United States.
